We all know that one person who’s still badmouthing their ex a million years after they broke up. And if you happen to know Ray J personally, well, that’s that one person you know. But he doesn’t just take the occasional swipe at Kim Kardashian West, to whom he was romantically linked in 2006, in private among friends. Instead, he publicly blabs about details of their long-defunct sex life in a questionable effect to simultaneously promote his latest project and seemingly attempt to embarrass her.
The Sun reports that, last week, Ray J took to the microphone at a London event to tell everyone that Kardashian West would apply makeup mid-sex. “Kim and I had fun times — marathon sessions. But she didn’t like getting sweaty and would stop to do her makeup if she did,” implying that makeup has apparently always been important to Kardashian West, who has turned that interest into a hugely popular business, KKW Beauty.
“She liked to look dope during sex, the right lighting, setting the mood,” Ray J said about Kardashian West’s alleged vanity. He also claimed she had a Louis Vuitton trunk full of sex toys, which — OK, that’s amazing and nothing to be embarrassed about. And quite frankly, neither is wanting to look however way you want to look during sex.
Not that it’s anyone’s business who has designer sex-toy trunks or who likes a touch-up during sweaty marathon sex sessions, but even Kardashian West couldn’t help but tweet the equivalent of a guffaw in response to Ray J’s blabbing.
“RayJ constantly revealing all these intimate details about @KimKardashian shows that he is suffering from low self esteem,” wrote one of many Twitter users who took exception to the singer’s gossipy publicity stunt. Kardashian West took a moment to post a rare reply, saying she thinks it’s something other than low self-esteem that’s driving his remarks: “Or shows he’s a pathological liar 😂😂😂 you actually believe this story? It’s too funny to me!”
We truly hope she does find humor in it. At the very least, she’s laughing all the way to the bank over that purported prioritization of makeup.
